(FOX40.COM) — After weeks of sunshine and clear skies in the Northern California region, clouds and rainfall are making their way back into the forecast.
Temperatures in the area will gradually drop. This week kicked off with mid-80-degree weather. By Wednesday, the temperature is forecast to fall to 74 degrees. When the weekend hits, significantly cooler weather is forecast to impact the region with temperatures as low as 65 degrees.
“This is a big change for us, that we’ll all feel and we’ll all notice,” said
FOX40 chief meteorologist Adam Epstein

A strong Delta breeze is expected to pull in wind and cloudy skies on Thursday morning, followed by some rain.

“There’s a wet weather chance as we get into Friday night and Saturday,” Epstein said.
According to the
National Weather Service
, Friday-Sunday comes with the possibility of widespread showers, a 10-20% chance of isolated thunderstorms, and mountain snow. The Sierra may see 2-6 inches of snow at about 5000-7000 feet of elevation.
