BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Abundant tropical moisture will continue to surge into the area, resulting in a couple more days of above normal rain chances.
WEDNESDAY FORECAST
Patchy fog is possible in the morning, with scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms returning during the afternoon and evening hours.
Locally heavy rain will once again be possible.
WARMING UP
Rain chances will quickly diminish from Friday into the weekend and be replaced by soaring temperatures. Highs could approach 90 degrees from this weekend into early next week, and the outlook suggests that above normal temperatures will continue into at least the early part of May.
EXTENDED OUTLOOK
The transition to warmer and drier weather over the weekend will continue into at least the first part of next week. A few showers may return during the second half of the week.
