GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) — Greenville officials have named a street after Theo Mitchell, who served in the South Carolina General Assembly for 20 years.
A portion of Bradshaw Street was named Theo Mitchell Street on Wednesday. The street, located in the Haynie-Sirrine community, is close to Mitchell’s former law office.
Mitchell, along with family, friends and local leaders attended the official street naming event.
In 1990, Mitchell was the Democratic nominee for governor of South Carolina.
