Lynchburg police investigating fatal motorcycle crash from March 25, asks for witnesses

The Lynchburg Police Department is continuing to investigate a
fatal motorcycle crash
that occurred on March 25th.

On March 25, the Lynchburg Police Department and the Lynchburg Fire Department responded to a report of a motorcycle accident on Route 29 North, just before the Kemper Street exit.

The motorcycle’s operator, 33-year-old Maquale Moon of Campbell County, was found in the southbound lanes.

He was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital, where he later succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash.

“We are seeking any witnesses who may have seen the crash or the events leading up to it,” said LPD. “We are specifically looking to speak with the driver of a red SUV that was in the area of the crash around 6:40 AM that morning. This individual may have important information regarding the incident.”
