Poles to pews, Juneau’s last standing strip club shuts down to become place for worship

JUNEAU, Wis. (WMTV) – Dodge County’s last standing gentleman’s club, Elite Entertainment, was
shut down
after a new owner purchased it on Friday. Under the new owner, the club will be transformed into a place for worship and healing.

The club located at 112 East Oak Street, is right across the street from the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Dale Schmidt said the new owners shutting the club down is a “dream come true.”

“Even though this club has only been open under the current name for a few months, we already have allegations of criminal activity that was going on in there,” said Schmidt.

He said that the club was a place for criminal activity to take place in plain sight.

“There has been prostitution that has taken place, drug use, drug sales, human trafficking, sex trafficking,” Schmidt said.

According to Schmidt, law enforcement is happy to see the last standing strip club in Dodge County close its doors. Local resident Robert Niemeyer weighed in, and said it won’t really be missed by community members either.

“I would say some old single beer guys would want it to stay, okay being truthful,” Niemeyer said. “But it makes no difference to me.”

He recalled that the number of strip clubs in the county decreased quickly.

“There used to be three or four strip clubs in Dodge County,” said Niemeyer.

Sheriff Schmidt explained that the issue of crime was not isolated to a single location.

“The three of them, while working separately, have had connections to criminal activity as long as I’ve been sheriff and longer than that,” said Schmidt.

The new owner, a real estate holding company managed by Vine and Branch management, purchased the club on Friday, also recognized as Good Friday.

In a statement to WMTV, Vine and Branch Management said in part,

On April 18, 2025 (Good Friday) a real estate holding company managed by Vine and Branch management purchased the strip club in Juneau for the purpose of shutting it down and turning it into a place of worship, healing and counseling. This will include offices for Chris Jansen Ministries, Whole life healing counseling, Vine and Branch management and more.

“I think it’s kind of ironic,” said Schmidt. “I think it’s a really cool thing to see a complete 180-degree shift, I’m looking forward to seeing what he can bring to the city of Juneau.”
