Semi-truck hauling cars catches fire on I-5 in Sacramento County

A semi-truck hauling multiple cars caught fire on northbound Interstate 5 in Sacramento County on Wednesday afternoon.

LiveCopter 3 was over the scene near Elk Grove Road in Elk Grove and showed a fire burning at least two cars on the trailer. The fire was reported around 4:50 p.m.

The California Highway Patrol said two northbound lanes were closed on I-5.

Drivers can expect a slowdown on I-5. No injuries were reported.
