A local runner is back home after competing in one of the country’s most prestigious and historically significant races: The Boston Marathon.
Flowood native Gabrielle Hodson isn’t new to marathons, but it was her first time competing in this race.

Hodson says training for Boston was like working a full-time job.
She ran at least 50 miles a week.
But in the end, she says it was worth it.
Although this was her first time competing in the Boston Marathon, she told us she plans to continue training to qualify again next year.
