Anthony Edwards got the last laugh against Luka Doncic after Game 1 of the NBA Western Conference playoff series between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
He made sure to get the first laugh before Game 2 on Tuesday, too.
Edwards only had 22 points to Doncic’s 37 on Saturday, but it resulted in a 117-95 win for the Timberwolves that sparked

between two of the league’s loudest trash talkers.
The Timberwolves star continued his war of words before the second game of the series. Edwards drew plenty of reactions from fans when he entered enemy territory to try to get under Doncic’s skin before the game tipped off.
“WE LOVE A MENACE,” said a

on X, encouraging the behavior.
“All yap,” wrote

“Antman better stop poking the bear,” said one

“Why give them bulletin board material,” replied one wary X

“Some people just never learn,” said one response.
Regardless of the outcome, Edwards clearly relishes the highly-competitive matchup. He
publicly praised Doncic
after the blockbuster trade that sent him from the Dallas Mavericks to Los Angeles.
“(The Mavericks) created a monster,” Edwards said in a candid

posted to his official Instagram after the Doncic-Anthony Davis trade.
“I’m excited to play the Lakers now,” he added, “because they created a monster, boy.”
