JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — Onslow County Schools held a DWI demonstration at White Oak High School on Tuesday. The demonstration aims to influence safety for students as prom season approaches.
The demonstration involved different law enforcement and fire department agencies recreating scenarios that displayed what DWI accidents look like, all while students watched in the stands. “The purpose of this is to show the students the dangers of drinking and driving,” White Oak Resource Officer Roselyn Consuegra said.
School officials hope that students not only remember the dangers during prom season, but also remember them for any parties they go to in the future. For more information, click on the video above.
