2025 NFL Mock Draft: NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah mocks

NFL Network’s lead draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah has released his final mock draft ahead of tomorrow night’s first round of the 2025
NFL Draft
. We have seen a number of mocks come out this week giving the Broncos multiple different running backs, a wide receiver, and even a tight end.

In Jeremiah’s final mock draft, he has the Broncos trading up and selecting…a tight end.

Jeremiah has the
Denver Broncos
trading up with the
Miami Dolphins
for Michigan tight end Colston Loveland.

I believe Loveland is highly coveted by a bunch of teams, and it seems like the Dolphins would like to add more draft capital. Sean Payton has never been shy about being aggressive — the Saints traded up in the first round four times during his tenure as head coach. If he wants something, he usually goes and gets it. The signing of Evan Engram would not preclude Denver from making an aggressive move for Loveland.

He states that Loveland is a highly coveted prospect by a bunch of teams and believes Sean Payton will be aggressive here. Payton is known for being aggressive during the draft, and we have seen him move up multiple times during his two drafts with the Broncos, so it wouldn’t be surprising.

Loveland was widely mocked to the Broncos before free agency but after the team signed tight end Evan Engram, all the mocks shifted to the running back position. However, there have been plenty of whispers out there saying the Broncos really like Loveland, but would they really trade up for him? The Broncos have been a team that has been sniffing around about trading up, so it could be possible.

Sean Payton found his ‘Joker’ in Evan Engram, but Loveland has the traits to be another dynamic receiving threat at tight end for them. He is a big, long, and very athletic tight end who should give you a dynamic receiving threat at the position for the next decade. He can hold his own as an in-line tight end, so you could see both Engram AND Loveland on the field at the same time.

I would be surprised if the Broncos traded up for Loveland but he is one of the top playmakers in the draft so I would not be upset about it.
