The Philadelphia Eagles already came away with one of the best defensive players in the draft with the selection of Alabama linebacker Jihaad Campbell.
They aren’t going to be done here, either.
It’s anticipated that the Eagles will hold two selections during the second day of the 2025 draft. Additionally, they require reinforcements at safety, along with both offensive and defensive lines, as well as tight ends. In just a matter of hours, the team might be able to fill multiple crucial positions.
And there are three available options for the team to look forward to – especially during the second round.
Andrew Mukuba, S, Texas
The trade of Chauncey Gardner-Johnson has opened up a hole at safety for the Eagles. It’s a position that must be addressed soon, and could be with Mukuba. There were some scouts who had him as a top prospect during the pre-draft workouts. If the Eagles can nab him in the later portions of the second round, it would be a steal for them.
Nick Skurton, Rim, Texas A&M
It’s quite likely that Scourton might leave before the Eagles reach their scheduled selection at number 64. This does not imply that the Eagles cannot climb up the draft order to secure him. If any franchise decides to advance in the picks, it would typically be the Philadelphia organization for such moves.
Darius Alexander, DT, Toledo
Alexander is one of the older prospects of the draft, but is one that is considered a perfect fit for the Eagles this offseason. They need to replace Milton Williams, and Alexander’s tape – especially after a strong Senior Bowl – is something that isn’t easily ignored at this point.
