Authorities report that a truck fire has led to the closure of certain lanes on an important road near Congress.
The Arizona Department of Transportation announced in a press statement that the southbound lanes of US 93 were shut down due to a truck fire on Tuesday afternoon. This closure occurred around milepost 169, close to the town of Congress.
The authorities haven’t provided an estimate for when the southbound lanes will reopen.
A video provided to 12News by a viewer shows that the fire seems to have completely consumed the truck.
This narrative will be expanded upon as more details come to light. Keep up with 12News for updates.
