A fallen Greensboro officer’s name now sits among a solemn brotherhood and sisterhood.
Officer Michael Horan’s name is now engraved on the
National Memorial for Law Enforcement Officers.
Work started on Monday, April 14.
As you know, Horan died a few months ago when police say someone shot and killed him after an altercation at the Lawndale Food Lion.
Horan spent decades in the Coast Guard and served in Greensboro for six years.
Horan will also be honored at a vigil next month, along with all the other names added to the wall this year.
Other names include all four officers killed in last year’s ambush in Charlotte.
The one-year mark of that attack is next week.
