The Xbox app is set to start rolling out across a selection of its smart TVs in 25 different countries later this week.
The Xbox application works with certain LG displays and monitors. As stated in the press statement, these models encompass “2022 OLED televisions, as well as 2023 OLED, QNED, NanoCell, and UHD televisions… provided they have been upgraded to firmware versions 23.20.01 or newer.” Future availability includes LG’s StandbyME screens. After installation, this app enables subscribers of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate plan to stream games they already possess or explore titles within the Game Pass collection.
LG is the most recent electronics company to provide the Xbox experience without requiring you to actually buy an Xbox. Samsung had previously done this.
