On Wednesday, the Oneida Indian Nation provided an initial glimpse of the advancements made towards the ” Turning Stone Evolution.”
The $370 million Turning Stone Evolution project aims to become the biggest conference hub in New York State. Anticipated to yield an initial economic boost exceeding $600 million and forecasted to result in over 3,500 job openings, this development is projected to contribute more than $22 million in state and municipal taxes annually.
The Oneida Indian Nation representative and Turning Stone CEO, Ray Halbritter, described “The Evolution” as generational.
We are elevating what we’ve created here to new peaks,” stated Halbritter. “This venture goes beyond mere growth; it represents the subsequent phase of the vision we conceived over thirty years ago. Our aim has always been to revamp this area, exhibit everything we possess, and ensure it thrives even further for generations yet unborn—our grandchildren’s grandchildren.
Wednesday’s unveiling also included a topping ceremony, or the placing of the final beam, for The Crescent Hotel, which is
part of the project
