Horseheads’ Mason Holloway and Brendan Clark combined on a perfect game as the defending Section 4 Class AA champion Blue Raiders opened their season with a road victory. Holloway struck out 11 over the first five innings and Clark fanned three in pitching the final two innings.

Lyncoln Bennett was 2-for-4 at the plate for Horseheads.
